Entry Acceptance Rules

ENTRY GUIDELINES

We require a minimum of three 330ml bottles of each beer entered into the competition, but up to six bottles are allowed if the brewer wishes to allow for accidental breakages, one-off gushers etc. 330ml brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green and clear glass will be accepted. Swing top bottles will likewise be accepted as well as corked bottles. 500ml / 750ml bottles are also fine.

Bottles must be completely devoid of all labelling. Printed caps are allowed, but must be blacked out completely.

Bottles will not be returned to contest entrants.

LABELLING

Print out an entry label from this site and then attach to each bottle WITH CLEAR SELLOTAPE.

No other label or identifiable information  should be present. All requisite paperwork must be submitted with each entry and can be printed directly from this website.

Be meticulous about noting any special ingredients that must be specified on the entry system. Failure to note such ingredients may impact the judges' scoring of your entry.

Packing and Shipping

Carefully pack your entries in a sturdy box. Line the inside of your carton with a plastic trash bag. Partition and pack each bottle with adequate packaging material. Please do not over pack!

Write clearly: Fragile. This Side Up. on the package. Please only use bubble wrap as your packing material.

Enclose each of your bottle labels in a small zip-top bag before attaching to their respective bottles. This way it makes it possible for the organizer to identify specifically which entry has broken if there is damage during shipment.

Every reasonable effort will be made to contact entrants whose bottles have broken to make arrangements for sending replacement bottles.

If you live in the United States, please note that it is illegal to ship your entries via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Private shipping companies have the right to refuse your shipment if they are informed that the package contains glass and/or alcoholic beverages. Be aware that entries mailed internationally are often required by customs to have proper documentation. These entries might be opened and/or returned to the shipper by customs officials at their discretion. It is solely your responsibility to follow all applicable laws and regulations.
